On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, 12 teams readied their power tools and prepared for battle. The mission was simple – Each team has three hours to take one IKEA chair and turn it into something other than a chair.
Upon receiving our chair, my team quickly decided to create something that would promote activity – since sitting in a chair by nature is a sedentary activity. Additionally, we also saw a unique opportunity to build two items instead of one. Thus we set out to make a matching set of scooters.
Taking inventory of parts.

Finishing up the last few details.

Licence plates complete with Umlauts.

Taking it to the streets!
